you're wrong and you know it...

In my Constitutional History class we are currently discussing the Warren Court that decided such cases as Griswold v. Connecticut and Roe v. Wade. Now I'm going to say that I have quite a bit of bias to these two cases due to my activities involving the LIFE movement...because I believe that from the moment of conception...a human is there...not just an embryo...not just dividing cells...he/she IS a human...there is no doubt. Check you biology book.

Anyhow, the point of the matter is that while we are "discussing" these two particular cases...we never get to the truth of the matter. We discuss "privacy rights" and the 14th Amendment, but never mention why contraception or abortion was illegal in the first place. Hmmm...let's think about that one, shall we?
I guess I am just sick and tired of professors and students claiming that they are open-minded because they are "discussing" these controversial cases. They think that will please us close-minded folks. Ha! I'll tell you what would please me...Let's have a debate, let's get all the facts out there, and hey...how about you all listen for once.

I once asked a pro-abortion advocate when she thought that life began:
Me: When do you think life begins?

Her: I don't have to answer that.

Me: Yes, you do.

Her: Well, it means nothing to me.

Me: Well, it does to me.

At this point our "discussion" was cut off by our teacher. But this absurd remark made me wonder...if when life begins means nothing to her...then surely when life ends also is meaningless. No wonder we have so many cases of child and spousal abuse, rape, murder, suicide, etc.

If we cannot show respect for life at the most innocent of stages (in the womb) then when can we show respect for life?

Seriously.
